PARIS, CIRCA 1870, MAKER'S MARK OF MAISON CHRISTOFLE
The stand of shaped oval form raised on four openwork scroll feet, with applied scroll rim, both sides engraved with a monogram within a strapwork cartouche enclosed by engine-turning, the detachable tureen with pierced strapwork and shell sides and with bifurcated scroll and shell side handles, the domed cover with similar engraved cartouche and engine-turning above a beaded rim, surmounted by a flower finial, with fitted red glass liner, fully marked--length of stand 11in.
