Each of tapering oval form, the first with flowers amid oval laurel and ribbon cartouches within foliate swag borders, marked on interior and interior of cover; struck with the discharge of Julien Alaterre--3 1/2in. (8.9cm.) long; the second with gold oval cartouches enclosing urns and flowers amid scrolls and laurel swags, all against a green enamel ground, apparently unmarked except for 19th Century control mark on bezel --4 1/8in. (10.4cm.) long
