Each of tapering form, the first faceted and with panels of flowerheads and beads on engine-turned panels enclosed by foliate scroll borders on a matted ground, the slip-on cover with similar decoration, the top with musical instruments and foliage on a matted ground, struck on bezel with the counter-mark of Henri Clavel (Nocq, IV, pp. 240-241) and of Jean-Francois Kalendrin (ibid, IV, pp. 241-242)--4 3/4in. (12cm.) long; the second with panels of foliate scrolls and flowerheads, with slip on cover, one end engraved with the initial B and an English baron's coronet, struck on bezel with Paris restricted warranty mark for gold, 1798-1809--3 1/2in.
