Of shaped circular form on three rocaille and grapevine scroll feet, with elaborately cast rocaille, scroll and grapevine rim, the field flat-chased with acanthus scroll, rocaille and trelliswork decoration enclosing an engraved coat-of-arms and crest within a ermine mantling, marked under base and on border--24in. (61cm.) diam.

Lot Essay
The arms are those of Antrobus, for Sir Edmund Antrobus, 1st Bt., of Antrobus Hall who was created a Baronet in 1815 with remainder to his nephews, Edmund and Gibbs Crawford. He died unmarried in 1826.
