The arms are those of Guise, for Sir Berkeley William Guise, 2nd. Bt., born in 1775. He was M.P. for Gloucester and Verderer of the Forest of Dean and succeeded his father in 1794. In 1814 he disputed the will of his mother's cousin, Thomas Wright (to whom he was heir-at-law) who disposed of his vast property to strangers. He died unmarried in 1834.
