The arms are those of Montagu with those of Montagu on an escutcheon of pretence within the Order of the Bath, for Edward Massey of Westown who married in 1743 Isabella, eldest daughter and co-heir of John, Duke of Montagu and widow of William Montagu, Duke of Manchester. After the decease of his father-in-law in 1749, Hussey assumed the name and arms of Montagu. In 1753 he was installed Knight of the Bath and created Baron Beaulieu in 1762 and Earl Beaulieu in 1784. He died without issue in 1802 bequeathing his estate to Lord Sidney Osborne, 3rd son of Francis, 5th Duke of Leeds.
