The rectangular box with rounded corners decorated in takamaki-e on a kinji ground with stands of spider chrysanthemums on bamboo stakes on the lid and sides of the box, the interior fitted with a rounded rectangular and footed tray of further chrysanthemums by a stream, the underside of the tray and lid and well of the box nashiji- 8 3/8 x 6 1/8 x 4 1/4 in. (21.4 x 15.5 x 10.5 cm.)
