Of rectangular section, carved around the sides in shallow relief with ascending acanthus leaves alternating with stylized lotus sprays, all beneath a band of archaistic pendent blades on the neck interrupted by a pair of budding sprig-form handles suspending loose rings, the domed cover carved with overlapping leaves and surmounted by a flower-bud finial, the stone of greenish-white color with some opaque buff and russet inclusions--10 1/2 in. (26.5 cm.) high, wood stand
