Of oblong form, the spot-hammered body raised on four openwork scroll feet supported by red-stained rectangular insulators, the cover with later similar incurved oblong insulating finial issuing from a red enamel oblong plaque, struck under base with incuse MZ monogram enclosed inscription MARIE ZIMMERMAN MAKER--9 3/4in.
