ICHIRO GAME USED JERSEY

Details
ICHIRO GAME USED JERSEY
A significant game jersey worn by Japan's premier baseball superstar, Ichiro, of the Orix Blue Wave. The Mizuno Pro home jersey was worn during the first week of the 1997 Japanese baseball season. It features an ORIX (the name of the company that owns the team) patch on the left sleeve and a KOBE earthquake memorial patch on the right sleeve. It has been signed and dated in Japanese, Ichiro 1997.4.18, on the number 51, on the back of jersey.
Ichiro is Japan's most popular baseball player. He has become, in a short time, the best hitter in that country's history. He holds records for the highest batting average and the most hits in a season, and has won three straight Pacific League Most Valuable Player awards (1994, 1995, 1996), and has been the top vote getter in the All-Star Game three years running. At only twenty-three years old, the leadoff man will undoubtedly be a force in international baseball for years to come. Japanese game used jerseys are extremely rare, as the teams generally do not let players keep their uniforms.
Ichiro has generously donated the proceeds of the sale of this jersey to the James Jordon Home for Boys and Girls.
