FRED HANEY DIARY
Fred Haney's personal diary for the year 1959, his last as manager of the Milwaukee Braves. It includes his daily comments on the team and players prior to spring training through the end of the season. His entry for October 4th includes "Now x-mgr of the Braves - Retired - offered 2 yr. contract with raise - just can't take another year. Best to get out in good health and good feelings." A July 3rd entry states "Boy I've seen balls hit but one Aaron hit over LF fence and Adcocks ball over center where they keep batting cage were really hit." There are many daily newspaper box scores taped in.
