A MOMOYAMA CERAMIC CUP AND A CONTEMPORARY BOTTLE

Two pottery sake ceramics, comprising a Karatsu ware small cup flaring from a ring foot and covered by a greenish brown glossy glaze with dense crackle ending irregularly above the foot, Momoyama period, and a contemporary Bizen style Hanaoki ware sake bottle of cylindrical form with pinched neck and flared mouth ending in a rolled lip, both in wood storage boxes- the first 3 1/4 in. (8.2 cm.) diameter, rim chips, the second 4 7/8 in. (12.4 cm.) height (2)
