FRENCH, CIRCA 1630, AFTER A DESIGN BY MATHURIN JOUSSE
Repousse with a mask above the necks of two chimera enclosing the keyhole, their tails tied together and forming the top three petals of a fleur-de-lys; together with an iron key escutcheon, the key hole in the center of swirling scroll decorated with scale pattern ---- 8 5/8in. (21.9cm.) high; together with a steel door bolt, with pierced scrollwork plate, the bolt with knop handle----9¾in.
