Cast in relief with scenes from a bacchanale, one depicting a satyr dancing with a nymph, the other a centaur with a thyrsus, the backs inscribed with museum registration numbers '57.109' and
'57.110' ----- 2 3/8 x 3½in. (6 x 8.9cm.)

Lot Essay

The present reliefs were most likely conceived as drawer mounts for a secretaire or cabinet.
