Kirk & Son., circa 1880, boat shaped, on raised oval base, the base, sides and detachable raised cover chased and engraved with bold flowering foliage, including thistles, ferns, chrysanthemums and poppies, on finely punched ground, with two upswept, part foliate, angular handles topped by recumbant Classical maiden, the cover topped by foliate shaped ring handle--length over handles 15¾in. (40cm.), 67.5oz.
