A GREENISH-WHITE JADE PEAR-SHAPED VASE AND COVER, 19TH CENTURY, of flattened form, the lower body carved in shallow relief with a continuous band of taotie masks and archaistic motifs within narrow band borders below a band of undulating waves enclosing C-scrolls and dots on the neck, interrupted by a pair of ruyi sceptre handles, with a key-fret border on the rim of the mouth and repeated on the shallow, pedestal foot and cover, of pale celadon color with fine white mottling throughout--9 5/8 in. high
