The circular enamelled dial with Roman and Arabic chapters signed Dubuc Ainé à Paris, the square case surmounted by a classical female figure leaning over a caged Cupid representing love imprisoned, flanked by winged griffins, on rectangular base mounted with a central term figure flanked by winged lions, on later shaped spreading feet
