A VICTORIAN SILVER CAKE BASKET, London, 1857, maker's mark HH pellet between, probably Hyam Hyams, shaped oval on oval pierced foot with applied corded rim, the solid center engraved with crest, the sides chased with large beaded wishbones, with pierced panels of stars and quatrefoils, foliate scrolls and stylized flowerheads, the border applied with flowering foliage, applied finely gadrooned rim, with part openwork swing handle --14¼in.
