Montrachet, Marquis de Laguiche--Vintage 1969
Côte de Beaune, Joseph Drouhin
Excellent levels, good mature color
"A very good white burgundy vintage. Firm, well constituted wines
with vibrant conserving acidity, ending the decade on a high note. A
mass of almost uniformly good notes throughout the 1970s, the more
robust wines taking a full 10 years to evolve completely. Clearly,
from my own notes, a highly satisfactory year for the big guns:
Montrachet, Bâtard and Corton-Charlemagne, the finest still
magnificent and well worth looking out for." JMB
