Lot Essay

An almost identical card table with Prince-of-Wales feathers carved in reserves over legs was attributed to Duncan Phyfe in V. Isabelle Miller, Furniture by New York Cabinetmakers 1650-1860, Museum of the City of New York, 1957, no. 99.
