With an ormolu molded circular top centrally fitted with a Sevrès-style plate depicting a full length portrait of Louis XIV, by Quentin, after a painting by H. Rigault, within a border inset with porcelain plaques depicting the ladies of the court, on a baluster-turned support with an incurved tripartite base on casters and foliate-cast brackets--30¾in. (78.7cm.) high, 30in. (76.2cm.) diam.
