A GRETA GARBO LETTER WITH PHOTOGRAPH
A last correspondence from Greta Garbo to Sydney Guilaroff. Dated October 28, 1964 the typed note simply states "...Thank you for thinking of me - and, I am sorry, but for the moment I can speak to no one. Signed in pencil on the lower right G. G. Included in the lot is a black and white candid photograph of Ms. Garbo and Mr. Guilaroff on the set of the 1941 film Two-Faced Woman; the failure of this film to achieve commercial success was alleged to be the reason for Garbo's premature retirement.
