Lot Essay

Evgenii Maksimilianovich was the grandson of Nicholas I through his daughter Maria, who had married in 1839 the son of Eugene de Beauharnais. Their off-spring were granted the Russian title of Princes Romanovskii. This volume contains the names of numerous members of the court, diplomatic circles and officers of the military forces.
