On spreading rectangular foot, carved in low relief on the body with a panel of confronted phoenix, their bodies also forming a stylized taotie, the long neck with stylized lappets between squared dragon-head handles suspending loose rings, the domed cover with Buddhistic lion finial, the opaque whitish stone suffused with areas of apple-green--10 1/8in. (25.6cm.) high
