The tantric Avalokitesvara shown seated in vajrasana atop an elaborate lotus base, the primary pair of hands held before the chest in namaskaramudra, another pair held in dhyanamudra in the lap, of the seven pairs of hands flanking the body six hold various attributes, wearing a crown bedecked with flowers and garlands of beads below a central figure of Amitabha, the back incised with a Dehua double-gourd mark and a Xu Yunlin zhi mark, covered overall with a glaze of milk-white tone, some losses--15 3/4in.
