A WATERCOLOR AND INK DECORATED VORSCHRIFT
SIGNED GEORGE GANZ, CHAMBERSBURG AREA, YORK COUNTY, DATED 10 MARCH 1813
The rectangular black and red decorated border surrounding above and below two horizontal black and red decorated scrolling foliate vines in which is inscribed three vertical registers: the first and third comprised of separate verses numbered one through six, the center a series of alphabet and numerical samplers inscribed in red above: [translation] "This vorschrift belongs to Peter Peter" and below: [translation] "George Ganz his hand in the year 1813 the 10th of March"--12¾ x 15 3/4in.
