The rectangular form with decorated border in yellow, blue and red scalloped forms centering three horizontal registers, the top with an inscription identifying the book as belonging to the artist's grandmother, Susanna Brubacher; the middle with an illuminated fraktur-schriften inscription of her name; and the lower register completing the text; signed and dated below--7 x 4¼ in.
