A LOUIS XV ORMOLU AND FRENCH PORCELAIN MANTEL CLOCK
MID-18TH CENTURY
With circular enamel dial with arabic and roman chapters signed Gudin A Paris within a pierced foliate-cast cast born by a braying donkey astride rockwork before a tree stump issuing sinuous blossoming branches, the rockwork naturalistically cast with shells, mushrooms, a rabbit and waterfall and fitted with a hunter accompanied by his hound, the movement with the number 552 (movement probably later)-14¾in. (37cm.) high, 12in. (30cm.) wide, 6in. (15cm.) deep
