Of wide oval form, pierced slit eyes, arched brows, thin ridge like nose with projecting squared mouth, large horizontally projecting ears, triangular serrations carved at periphery from eyes to mouth, traces of red pigment, kaolin above eyes and in serrations.

Such masks were worn at initiations and also were suspended over the doors of chiefs' compounds as emblems of office (Robbins and Nooter, p. 404, no. 1029).
