A BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN BOWL
CHOSON DYNASTY (19TH CENTURY)

The globular bowl set on a raised and recessed ring foot and with an everted rim, finely decorated in underglaze blue beneath a blue-tinged white glaze, in the well with a Chinese "shou" writing character medallion, the rim with a key-fret design, the exterior of the bowl with three similar "shou" medallions interspersed with sprays of leafing and fruiting chestnut branches--2in. x 3 5/8in. (5cm. x 9.2cm.)
