A COPPER-RED AND UNDERGLAZE BLUE DECORATED WATER DROPPER
CHOSON DYNASTY (2nd Half 19TH CENTURY)

Moulded in the form of a large duck resting on a flat, unglazed base, the wings and feathers painted in underglaze blue and the breast feathers rendered in copper-red, the beak accented by a line of underglaze blue on the incised sides, the eyes of large underglaze blue circles containing the 'pupil' of copper-red-- 4 1/2 in. (11.4 cm.) long, 2 7/8 in. (7.3 cm.) high
