The large rectangular box with rounded corners covered with brownish black lacquer and inlaid in mother-of-pearl on the sides of the box and of the cover with a wide band of scrolling foliage between single line borders, the lid also inlaid in mother-of-pearl with a rectangular panel of slightly denser, matching floral scroll within a double-band border of mother-of-pearl discs alternating with oblongs of horn and rayskin flower sprays and with a bat in each of the four corners, the interior of the box painted brown-red-- 25 3/4 x 13 1/2 x 10 in.
