cover FK, just clear to large margins, on entire letter from ourselves (then known by the name of Christie and Mansons) to a client in London, neatly cancelled and tied in black and showing good to fine strike of the black "T.P/St. James's St." alongside, dated 18 February 1841; the entire slightly refolded. The content is an after sales statement to a vendor in an auction on 5 December 1840 which included "The Crucifixion" by Van Dyck (unsold and bought in for #4) and a view by "Canaletti" (sold for #5.5s.). Fine and most interesting. Photo
