Possibly a primo pensiero for Coriolano's chiaroscuro woodcut (Illustrated Bartsch, 48, no. 4 (88)). The print differs from the drawing in a number of ways, must notably the position of her right arm and the addition of a putti. The connection with the print is tentative as Reni's known studies for Coriolano's woodcuts are in pen and ink, H. McBurney and N.
