The Alvin Manufacturing Company of Providence specialized in silver overlay in the Art Nouveau taste. A similar green glass vase attributed to Alvin but unmarked is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, illustrated in 19th Century America, Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, 1970, fig. 277.
