The distinctive rounded urn pedestal of this table relates to a card-table labeled by Duncan Phyfe, now in a private collection (see the Decorative Arts Photographic Collection, Winterthur Museum) and to the pedestal of a breakfast table illustrated in Sack, The Fine Points of Furniture, Early American, (New York, 1993).
