JOE CHOYNSKI LETTER
Joe Choynski, the well known heavyweight fighter who would fight anyone and whose career lasted from 1884 - 1904, fought the greatest fighters of his time: Jim Corbett four times, John L. Sullivan, George Godfrey, Bob Fitzsimmions, Kid McCoy, Tom Sharkey, Jim Jeffries, Peter Maher, Joe Wolcott, Jack Johnson, Philadelphia Jack O'Brien, and Marvin Hart. He defeated Maher, Godfrey and Jack Johnson and fought draws with Jefferies, Sharkey and Fitzsimmions. This lot consists of a handwritten letter dated May 8, 1897, which refers to several of his fights and is in excellent condition. A rare boxing autograph.
