Lot Essay

The manuscript pages are both 8vo, written on rectos only on ruled paper, one in black, the other purple ink (both with corrections). The Autograph Letter Signed is to "Friend Bliss" and discusses the sending of a manuscript. Elmira, 11 July [docketed 1871]. One page, 8vo, written in purple ink. It reads: "Friend Bliss: Shipped Mss. (up to & including Chapter 55,) this evening. Let me know if you receive it. Yours Mark. It goes by Express."
