BABE RUTH'S HAT AND SIGNED PHOTOGRAPH
Babe Ruth's Brooklyn Dodgers hat worn when he was their coach in 1938. Babe Ruth gave this hat to fellow Dodger and Hall of Famer Ki Ki Cuyler. The hat is in excellent condition and has 7 3/8 Babe Ruth stitched into the band inside. The hat is accompanied by a 5 x 7 in. original signed photo of Ruth in his Dodger uniform inscribed To My Pal-Cuy from Babe Ruth. Hats are the most ephemeral of uniform parts and few pre World War II major league hats have survived. This lot is also offered with a letter of authenticity from Ki Ki Cuyler's grandson. (2)
