Original art from Winsor McCay's wonderful feature, Dream Of The Rarebit Fiend. Rarebit Fiend along with the later Little Nemo In Slumberland catapulted McCay to fame. McCay signed all his Rarebit Fiends as Silas. Two examples are included in this lot, one is featured in Dover Publications. Dreams of the Rarebit Fiend (1973), pen and ink on paper--17 x 13 inches.
