A STOURBRIDGE CRESTED EWER of flattened oviform with slender neck, trefoil rim and scroll handle, engraved with two crests (lion's head gorged with a chaplet of laurel and an oak-tree with a pendant shield), the reverse with the initials ALA and with pendant ornament enclosed within flowering swags, the shoulder with bands of dot ornament and the neck with vertical foliate bands, supported on a collar above a domed and folded foot, circa 1865, perhaps W.H., B. & J.
