FIRST EDITION, preceding the London edition by three days and the American by about a month, with the half-titles. BAL 3837. Cooper wrote The Red Rover, his second sea novel, in Paris and supervised the printing of the book. It was his first book to be both printed and published first in a foreign country. Rare. (3)
