A GILT-METAL MOUNTED SHAGREEN ETUI, circa 1780, probably English, spreading rectangular with rounded hinged cover, with applied gilt dot borders, with pendant ring, enclosing steel pair of scissors, a pair of tweezers with file, a silver needle, a nip, a panelled tubular handle with detachable top enclosing another, for the steel two prong screw in fork and scimatar blade, the smaller handle enclosing a tubular metal spice grater, and a double ivory writing tablet--the etui 3¾in. (9.5cm.) high
