This example, the first in the edition, was Abbott's personal copy. As a gesture of gratitude, she signed each print - the only copy in the edition to have each print signed - for the executor of the estate. Every other number in the edition was signed on the colophon only. In addition, of the twenty nine portfolios produced, only twenty seven exist. Two were destroyed in a flood of the publisher's office.
