A COMPOSITE FIVE PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE ON SILVER PLATED TRAY, the following maker's mark of Gorham, 1948-1953: a teapot, coffee pot, two handled covered sugar bowl and cream jug, baluster on raised circular foot, two sides with shaped oval cartouche flanked by bold flowerheads amid foliate scrolls, the pots with scroll handle and spout, the hinged molded domed cover with acanthus bud finial--the coffee pot 10¾in. (27.3cm.) high, together with a baluster tea kettle, stand and lamp, maker's mark of Fina, chased with decoration similar to the tea service--14in. (35.5cm.) high; the rectangular plated two handled tray chased with broad band of arabesques, with pierced molded border and applied fruited grapevine rim--length over handles 29¼in. (74.2cm.), gross weight 134.5oz. (6)
