Lot Essay

The arms are those of Duncombe quarterly with those of Pauncefort, as borne by Philip Duncombe Pauncefort of Great Brickhill, Buckinghamshire, born in 1784. He assumed the additional name of Duncombe in 1805 and married in 1813 the Lady Alicia Margaretta Hockmore Lambart, daughter of Richard, 7th Earl of Cavan. He served as High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire in 1824 and died in 1849.
