Each tapering cylindrical applied with two bands of barel hoops, with scroll handle and hinged flat cover engraved with a scroll border enclosing a crest and motto, and, on the larger, script initials JD within foliate scrolls, each marked under base and on cover--height of larger 6in. (15.2cm.); height of two smaller 4 5/8in. (11.7cm.)
