Of circular form, on four scroll legs headed by acanthus and with acanthus feet, the compressed inverted pear-shaped bowl with two leaf-clad reeded handles issuing from lion's heads, the gadrooned rim with shells at intervals, the domed circular cover with two gadrooned bands and surmounted by a reeded leaf-clad handle issuing from lion's heads and a calyx of acanthus, marked under base, on cover, clayx and handle--length over handles 15 3/4 in. (40 cm.)
