A KWAKIUTL HAMATSA SOCIETY BIRD MASK

Two cedar planks joined along median ridge in the form of a heavy beaked bird with moveable lower jaw on leather hinge, crosspiece at back with light blue paint around eyes and across bridge of beak, the beak brows and eyes in black, the mouth and nostrils in red, with Beasley collection label.
