A MEISSEN GROUP OF TWO PUTTO GARDENERS, scantily clad in white and spotted lilac drapery, one standing sowing seeds and the other seated on a pannier-basket watering their patch of ground from a watering-can, on a rocky tree-stump oval base moulded with acanthus (restoration to edge of basket and small chips and restoration to leaves and branches), blue crossed swords mark, Pressnummer 58, incised C.44., circa 1880
